Controls on Proposals
Prior Approval Request (22 CFR §126.8 (c)(1))

  There are several ways the compliance professional may obtain the correct authorizations such as submitting an application for a marketing license for your organization that will meet the requirements of §126.8 and allow you to make those proposals. They may simply send a request or notification letter (General Correspondence) to the Department of State. They may request authorization in a marketing license (DSP-5) or a Temporary Export Authorization (DSP-73). Your compliance professional will help you decide what the best method of requesting prior approval is.
