Technical Assistance Agreement

  If you are providing a defense service, such as training in weapons qualifications you will be required by the DoS to obtain a TAA. Your compliance professional will put together the application package outlining exactly what the effort will be and provides all documents — including curriculum to the DoS to allow them to decide if the training may occur or not.

A TAA includes the following information.

• Detailed Statement of Work
• Description of the defense service to be supplied
• Description of hardware that may be exported in the future
• Requires signatures of all parties.

What is Authorized for Export?

• Technical data and defense services
• Hardware once DSP Licenses in furtherance of the agreement are approved
• Exemptions.
